Skyridge High Students Create Quilts for Global Relief: Skyridge High School students recently joined forces for a heartwarming service project, tying quilts to be sent for global relief efforts. This student-led initiative was a beautiful display of compassion, displaying Lehi’s long-standing tradition of humanitarian outreach.
$500,000 Cultural Grant Funding: Lehi City announced $500k in funding for the Cultural Organization Grant Program. These grants will support local arts, culture, and recreation to keep our community vibrant and resourceful.
Downtown Revitalization Released: The final draft of the Downtown Revitalization Plan is here! It focuses on making the historic heart of Lehi more walkable and vibrant while preserving its unique pioneer charm.
CIVIC DUTIES AND MEETINGS
UAMPS Energy Scholarships – Applications are now open for the 2026 scholarship program through Lehi Power. HS Seniors are eligible for $2,500 grants to support education in renewable and sustainable energy. This initiative aims to build a future-ready local workforce for Lehi’s increasing energy needs.
Historical Preservation Volunteers – The Lehi Historical Marker Unveiling Committee is looking for volunteers this weekend to assist with upcoming site designations. This project is a major part of the city’s ongoing effort to preserve its "Old West" cultural heritage amidst rapid modern growth.
Infrastructure & Fiscal Strength – Reports confirm Lehi maintain its AA+ bond rating from all three major agencies. This financial status ensures that major projects—such as ongoing drainage upgrades and transportation corridors remain funded at the lowest interest rates, saving taxpayers millions in costs.
LOOKING FORWARD:
Regular City Council Meeting Cancelled – The City Council meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb 24 has been cancelled. Staff will instead focus on internal budget planning and preparations for upcoming legislative sessions.
Upcoming Planning Commission Hearings – The next Planning Commission hearings are scheduled for Thursday, Feb 26. Residents are encouraged to attend. The meeting include site plan reviews and residential development talks.
