It was an enjoyable time for the kids last week, with events like Dinos After Dark, the puppet shows at the library, or a trip through Imaginaria. August is here, but there are many of summer events on the calendar before school routines start taking over.

This week, National Night Out brings everyone together at Wines Park, the FAIR Conference gets underway at Thanksgiving Point, and the Lehi Police Fundraiser Car Show rolls into Cabela's on Saturday. Families can also make the most of Grandparents' Week at Thanksgiving Point, catch Back to the Future under the stars Friday night, or spend a day exploring Imaginaria while it's still running.

FAIR Conference – Spend three days hearing presentations from scholars, historians, and speakers discussing Latter-day Saint history, doctrine, and faith. The annual conference welcomes both in-person and virtual attendees and features a full schedule of keynote sessions and workshops.

Lehi Heritage Day Announces 2026 Community Honorees: The Lehi Historical Society has named the eight individuals and couples who will be honored as 2026 Lehi Heritage Day Honorees for their lasting service to the community. Residents are invited to celebrate them on Saturday, Aug. 29, during a free afternoon featuring the Showcase Parade, honoree celebration, reception, historical exhibits, a car show, and food trucks at the new Lehi Civic Center.

Free Historical Marker Quest Invites Families to Explore Lehi: The Lehi Historical Society has launched the free Historical Marker Quest, encouraging residents to visit historical markers across the city, collect passport stamps, and learn about Lehi's past. Participants who complete the quest earn a commemorative collector pin, while those who bring their passports to Lehi Heritage Day on Aug. 29 can enter prize drawings and enjoy historical exhibits, a classic car and bike show, food trucks, and other family activities.

Hey neighbors! Here’s a three-stop Saturday plan that stays entirely in Lehi. Start with a low-impact Barre workout, meet up for an African-inspired lunch, then slow things down among tropical butterflies and fascinating insects.

Begin the day with a 55-minute Barre class that combines Pilates, yoga, dance and functional training. The low-impact workout uses a chair for balance, along with handheld weights and mats. Saturday’s class begins at 8:15 AM and costs $4.50 for nonmembers, while members may participate for free. Youth ages 12–13 may attend when accompanied by an adult age 18 or older. Check in at the front desk before class.

After the workout and a little downtime, head north for lunch at Zulu Grille. The menu centers on African-inspired piri piri chicken, with platters, bowls, wraps and salads available. The restaurant opens at 11:00 AM on Saturdays, so there is no need to rush directly from class.

Zulu Grille also operates a Meal for a Meal program that helps provide meals to vulnerable children in Africa.

Finish the outing inside the Butterfly Biosphere, where visitors can walk through a tropical conservatory filled with live butterflies and explore the adjoining insectarium. Admission is time-ticketed, so choosing a session in advance is a good idea.

Saturday, August 8 is the final day of Thanksgiving Point’s Grandparents’ Week offer. One child receives free admission with each paid adult or senior ticket, but the tickets must be purchased in person and the offer is not available online.

Lehi Planning Commission Work Session – Thu, Aug. 6, 2026, at 5:30 PM in the Lehi City Council Chambers, 153 N. 100 E., Lehi. The Planning Commission's work session gives commissioners and city staff an opportunity to review upcoming planning, zoning, and development matters before future public meetings.
