Pioneer Day weekend brings some of Lehi's biggest summer events, so there's plenty to get on the calendar this week. Spend a day exploring Imaginaria at Thanksgiving Point, cool off at the Summer Splash Party with food trucks and fireworks on Saturday, then wrap up the weekend with a free Arts in the Park concert on Sunday. If you want something for the kids, the library has Storytime and LEGO Masters, and Dinos After Dark is back Monday evening for a fun family night out.

Imaginaria at Ashton Gardens – Wander through giant landmark displays, interactive play areas, crafts, splash zones, and colorful gardens during Thanksgiving Point's signature summer festival. It's one of the area's biggest family attractions and an easy way to spend a full day exploring together.

Dinos After Dark – Explore the Museum of Ancient Life after hours with special dinosaur-themed activities, exhibits, and hands-on experiences. It's a fun way to experience one of Thanksgiving Point's most popular attractions on a summer evening.

Storytime – Little ones ages 3–5 can enjoy stories, songs, and movement during this interactive Storytime at the Lehi Library. It's a fun midweek outing that encourages early literacy while giving young children a chance to learn and play together.

LEGO Masters – Kids ages 9–12 can put their creativity to the test with fun LEGO building challenges at the Lehi Library. It's a great afternoon activity for young builders who enjoy problem-solving, teamwork, and seeing what they can create. A valid Lehi Library card is required, and registration is limited to one ticket per participant.

New Historical Marker Celebrates Businesses That Helped Build Lehi: Lehi's newest historical marker honors the former Lehi Union Exchange and Racker Mercantile, recognizing the entrepreneurial spirit that helped shape the city's early business community. Installed by the Lehi Historical Society, it is the organization's first double-sided historical marker and includes a QR code linking visitors to additional historical information about the site.

Lehi Teachers Awarded Classroom Grants for Innovative Student Projects: Three Lehi-area educators were among 40 Utah teachers selected to receive $1,000 Mountain America Foundation classroom grants during the Show Up for Teachers Conference on July 9 in Sandy. Autumn Dixon (Snow Springs Elementary), Delany Bigler (Fox Hollow Elementary), and Fredia Shumway (Liberty Hills Elementary) earned the competitive grants based on the strength of their classroom project proposals and their potential impact on student learning. Shumway plans to use her grant to create hands-on literacy centers that engage first-grade students through storytelling, collaboration, and creative learning.

Hey neighbors! Here’s a three-stop summer plan that stays entirely in Lehi. Start with an afternoon swim, grab dinner at a locally operated restaurant, then finish with a relaxed park walk as the temperature begins to drop.

Start around 3:30 PM with a couple of hours at the Lehi Outdoor Pool. The facility has a heated 50-meter pool, diving board, baby pool, water basketball hoop and AquaClimb walls. Public swimming runs from 11:00 AM to 6:50 PM Monday through Saturday during the verified 2026 season, which lasts from May 23 through September 7. Daily admission is $5 for children ages 3–11 and seniors 60+, $6 for guests ages 12 and older, and free for children 2 and younger.

After changing into dry clothes, head to Edna’s around 5:45 PM for an early dinner. This local restaurant serves freshly prepared American food, including burgers, salads, roasted chicken, pork chops and other filling dinner options. Prices vary by order, and the Lehi location stays open until 9:00 PM on Saturdays. Reservations are available online if you would rather plan ahead.

Finish your night with a slow walk through Margaret Wines Park. The 3.5-acre downtown park has play structures, swings, restrooms, water and several pavilions, giving families room to linger while the evening cools down. General park amenities are available on a first-come basis, while pavilion reservations are handled separately. Lehi City does not publish specific operating hours for this park, so check posted signs and plan to wrap up before dark.
