Memorial Day Commemoration – Lehi’s official Memorial Day observance takes place Monday morning at the city cemetery with a community gathering honoring veterans and military service members. One of the more traditional local events happening during the holiday weekend.

Run of Remembrance 2026 – American Fork’s Memorial Day race returns Monday morning with a 10K, 5K, Memorial Mile, and Kids K built around honoring veterans and military families. The morning starts with the National Anthem and a veteran gun salute before runners head out on courses lined with American flags. Beetle Mania at Butterfly Biosphere– Thanksgiving Point’s Butterfly Biosphere is opening a new beetle-focused experience this week with exhibits and insect displays running through the holiday weekend. Utah Flower Market 2026 – The Utah Flower Market is back for the season at Grove Station in Pleasant Grove with rotating dates running through October. It’s one of the easier local stops if you want fresh flowers, local growers, and a reason to wander around outside for a bit on a slower afternoon.

Baby Animal Festival – Thanksgiving Point’s Baby Animal Festival is back all week with baby goats, chicks, bunnies, scavenger hunts, bounce houses, and all the usual spring farm chaos kids seem to love. Probably one of the bigger family outings happening around Lehi during Memorial Day week if you need something that can easily fill a few hours. Learn more here.

Apex Predator at Museum of Ancient Life – The Museum of Ancient Life continues its Apex Predator exhibit this week with dinosaur-focused displays and interactive museum exhibits open through the Memorial Day weekend. Skyridge Track & Field Shines at State: Skyridge athletes capped off the 6A State Championships with gold medals from Briggs Parker in the 100-meter dash and Ty Baird in high jump. The Falcons also set or tied seven school records across relays and high jump. Freshman Abbegale Mehr added a standout showing for the girls team with multiple podium finishes. Both the boys and girls teams finished eighth overall, closing out a strong state meet.
National Disc Golf Competition Headed to Lehi: Lehi’s Dragonfly Disc Golf Course was selected as one of four Utah courses that will be used during the 2026 United States Women’s Disc Golf Championships from July 16–19. Dragonfly is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday play, helping put Lehi’s growing disc golf scene on a national stage. Organizers hope the major PDGA event will bring more local interest to the sport and support future course improvements across Utah.

Flutter Into a Tropical Oasis

If you’ve been needing a quick tropical escape from the Utah weather, this is a pretty magical one. The Butterfly Biosphere is warm and humid, with tropical plants, small waterfalls, and more than a thousand butterflies flying around freely. You can take your time walking the paths, watching them move through the trees, and seeing if one decides to land nearby.
It’s especially fun when you have visitors in town because it feels different from the usual Utah stop. There’s also a Discovery Zone with live insects, plus daily Critter Encounters for anyone who wants to get a closer look. Good for a quiet solo visit, a low-pressure date, or a kid-friendly afternoon when everyone needs to get out of the house.

One of the few publicly posted afternoon civic meetings on the city calendar this week, focused on preservation-related discussions and historic community planning topics within Lehi.
Planning Commission Public Hearings (housing density, ADU rules & urban forestry updates) – Thu, May 28, 2026 @ 7:00 PM, Lehi Civic Center Council Chambers (131 N 100 E, Lehi, UT 84043). The Planning Commission agenda this week includes discussions tied to subdivision density, detached accessory dwelling unit code updates connected to new state legislation, and urban forestry changes. One of the more important growth and development meetings on the Lehi calendar this month.
